In a recent speech at Amity University, AICTE Chairman Professor T G Sitharam articulated an ambitious vision for India, predicting that it will be the most developed country in the world by 2047. Sitharam's agenda is predicated on a systematic makeover of higher education and broad revolutionary reforms. This discovery was made during the Regional Meeting of the Ministry of Education's Institution Innovation Council (IIC).

During the gathering, Sitharam emphasised the critical importance of higher education in propelling India to global leadership. He praised the New Education Policy (NEP) of 2020, urging for its strict execution as a potential catalyst for establishing India as the world's "knowledge capital."

He emphasised the need to bridge the gap between policy formulation and its effective execution, drawing attention to the existing disparities.
