Placements At IIT Delhi: 1050 Students Placed; Over 50 Overseas Offers

According to the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D), during the first part of the placement season, 1050 job offers—including pre-placement offers (PPOs)—were made to students. Based on information provided by IIT Delhi, about one thousand students were picked at random during the initial stage.
This time, students from about 20 foreign organisations from a variety of geographic locations, including Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States, got more than 50 international offers, including PPOs.
Thus far, over 370 companies from various industries, providing over 700 job profiles, have expressed interest in hiring students from IIT Delhi. According to IIT Delhi, procedures have been finished for more than 450 job profiles in this phase; the remaining job profiles will be scheduled for the next phase. Prof. Ayothiraman stated that the Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi is working hard to obtain an increasing number of firms and profiles for Phase 2, which is scheduled to begin in mid-January.
The majority of offers were made in the Core (Technical) sector, which made up 42% of the offers. This was followed by the IT sector, which made up 22% and is also essential to several fields, including computer science, mathematics, and computing.
