The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode conducted the induction ceremony for the 16th batch of the Executive Post Graduate curriculum (EPGP 16), in which 619 students enrolled in the EMBA curriculum, a record for the institute.
The programme has inducted 600+ students for the first time, a 17% increase from the previous year. The legacy EMBA offering of IIM Kozhikode's expanding national and global reputation had resulted in 500+ students joining IIMK for three consecutive years, for batches preceding EPGP-16.
Furthermore, this batch contains more than 24% female participants, which the institute claims is the biggest-ever gender diversity in the program's history. The cohort together represents 150+ enterprises, with members aged 30-39 constituting more than half of the batch. Candidates come from a variety of backgrounds, including IT/software, public sector, energy, aerospace, education, consulting, manufacturing, automotive, banking and insurance, and so on.
Candidates with 6-9 years of experience account for 32% of the batch this year. EPGP-16 is notably notable for the special IIMK relationship with Deloitte and JSW, which saw participants recommended for the programme by these two renowned organisations and accepted after a rigorous multi-stage process.
