New Campuses For IIT-Delhi Will Open In Jhajjar And Sonipat, Both In The State Of Haryana, Beginning In 2024.

Two additional campuses for the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) will shortly be established in Sonipat and Jhajjar in Haryana. Rangan Banerjee, the director of IIT Delhi, made the announcement. He added that the new campus' construction would be finished by the end of November 2023.

The IoE-funded SATHI building is expected to be finished on the Sonipat campus by the end of November 2023. The project will cost a total of Rs. 59.73 Crore. The nation's first facility of its sort for patient-specific drug development for cancer treatment will be located on the Jhajjar site.

In July, as part of the 'IITs Go Global' initiative, IIT Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of an IIT Delhi campus in Abu Dhabi. After IIT Madras Zanzibar, this will be the second foreign IIT campus.
