Imperial College London Launches ‘Biggest Ever’ Scholarship Programme For Indians
Campus News
On Wednesday, Imperial College London revealed a new scholarship scheme for Indian students, designed to develop the best Master's scholars in the nation over the course of the following three years. The esteemed Imperial College in the United Kingdom will provide equal funding to male and female learners as part of its Future Leaders Scholarship initiative.
This announcement comes after Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Minister of Science and Technology, paid the college a visit earlier this year.
Vice-provost for education and student experience at Imperial College London Professor Peter Haynes said, "We are delighted to launch our biggest-ever scholarship programme for Indian scientists, reaffirming our commitment to attract the very best students from all backgrounds and support them to flourish."
In addition, the university recently inked a new agreement with the UK government's Chevening Scholarships programme, which will finance the education of three more Indian Master's scholars throughout the following three years. This award is available to students seeking Master's degrees in engineering, the natural sciences, business, and medical research in addition to paying the entire cost of tuition and living expenses.
