IIT Roorkee Shines At 'G20 Standards Dialogue', Representing India On Global Stage

At the "G20 Standards Dialogue" event, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee issued a statement on its dedication to advancing global standardisation and stakeholder involvement. Under the auspices of India's G20 Presidency, a global panel of experts convened to deliberate on regulatory frameworks, standardisation, and sustainability in the context of a future that is both inclusive and sustainable.

The event witnessed global participation, with experts and panelists hailing from Switzerland, Singapore, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and India. This diverse representation showcased the international significance of the G20 Standards Dialogue in promoting cooperation on global standards and sustainable practices.

November 2-3, 2023, saw the "G20 Standards Dialogue" take place in New Delhi at the famous Bharat Mandapam. The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, backed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in organising the event, which included three educational sessions:

First Session: Sustainability Standards
Session II: Technical Rules and Good Regulatory Practises
Third Session: Involving Stakeholders in Standardisation
