IIT Kharagpur Placement 2023: Over 700 Offers On The First Day, Including 19 Overseas Offers

On the first day of the 2023 placement session, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur received over 700 placement offers, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). 

The first phase of IIT Kharagpur's placement procedure for the academic year 2023-24 began on December 1, with all students physically participating. More than 61 companies, including Apple, Arthur D. Little, Da Vinci, Capital One, DE Shaw, EXL Services, Glean, Google, Graviton, Microsoft, Mckinsey, Quantbox, Databricks, Square point, TSM, and Palo Alto, offered various roles to students, primarily in the profiles of software, analytics, finance - banking, consulting, and core engineering.

On the first day of the placement campaign, more than 121 profiles were opened for students who had gotten more than 19 overseas offers, with 6 students being offered more than Rs 1 crore CTC. Companies are conducting interviews in a hybrid style, with a considerable number of companies physically present as well. 

This year, the IIT Kharagpur’s Career Development Centre for the first time is organising “Academia Industry Conclave (AIC) 2023” where the basic motto is to bridge the gap between the lean period of the market and upholding the legacy of the institute.
