Drive the Future: IIT Delhi Launches Certificate Programme in Hybrid Electric Vehicles Design!

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) has announced the launch of a certificate program in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) Design to meet the growing demand for expertise in the rapidly evolving field of vehicle electrification as the automotive industry moves toward a sustainable future.

According to a press statement from IIT Delhi, the 6-month certificate program is mainly developed for engineers from mechanical, electrical, automotive, and related fields who want to build a solid foundation in EV/HEV technology. The curriculum also appeals to professionals who wish to strengthen their current knowledge in the EV/HEV field.

The certificate programme incorporates critical concepts from thermodynamics, IC engines, electric machines and drives, power electronics, automotive hybridisation, battery design and modelling, providing participants with a comprehensive outlook to drive innovation, according to the press release.

Eligibility for this programme includes Engineering graduates (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, and allied areas) or Diploma holders from a recognised university. The programme will begin on September 29, 2024, and the fee will be Rs 1.10 Lakh plus GST.
