IIM CAT 2023 Result: Men And Engineers Continue To Dominate, With 14 Candidates Scoring At The 100 Percentile

In December, IIM Lucknow announced the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT), and similar to previous years, engineers predominate on the list of top scorers. For admission to prestigious B schools, such as the Indian Institutes of Management, the CAT is held. At 5:00 p.m., the outcome was announced.
Fourteen candidates this year, all male, received 100 percentile scores. According to IIM-Lucknow, three of these are non-engineers and eleven are engineers. One topper each from Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala, according to data on state-wise representation. The 100 percentile has been attained by two applicants from Telangana and four from Maharashtra.
The distribution of candidates by gender and category among the 3.28 lakh registered candidates was as follows: 65% of the candidates are men, 35% are women, and 8 are transgender; EWS: 4.72%, General: 67.65%, NC-OBC: 16.70%, SC: 8.60%, ST: 2.33%, PWD: 0.43% are the categories.
The CAT was held on November 26 and the candidates were given a chance to raise the objection (December 5 to 8). The CAT centre, as per IIM-L) received a total of 85 objections across 3 sections and 3 shifts.
