IIM Bangalore PGPEM Celebrates 25 Years of Drishti Leadership Summit

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore’s Postgraduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) celebrated the 25th edition of its flagship Annual Leadership Summit, Drishti, on 9-10 November 2024. Centred around the theme, “Insights to Impact: Shaping Business Strategies for Tomorrow,” the silver jubilee summit gathered industry leaders, visionaries, professionals, and B-school students for two days of collaborative discussions on innovation and sustainable growth.
In a press release, IIM Bangalore highlighted that Drishti is a unique blend of business, technology, art, culture, and academia that offers a forward-thinking perspective on an inclusive society. The summit included workshops, case competitions, and speaker sessions covering HR, startups, and business strategy topics.
Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore, kicked off the event, underscoring the summit’s goal of transforming insights into real-world impact. Among the distinguished speakers at the “Winds of Change” segment were IAS officer, Paralympic medalist Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, and Indian Navy veteran Aishwarya Boddapati, now Vice President at Wells Fargo. They shared inspiring stories of resilience and leadership.
Dignitary Mr Pankaj Rai, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Aditya Birla Group, gave a keynote speech emphasising the importance of professionals taking ownership of their careers to drive impactful change. Dr. Rhonda Duffy, Chief Operations Officer at Biocon Biologics, shared insights from her leadership journey across global healthcare firms.
Day one of Drishti featured a panel on “HR and Recruitment” with leaders like Miss Mandira Roy Choudhury (CHRO, Wipro Infrastructure), Miss Namita V (Deputy CHRO, TVS Lucas), and Mr Rohith Hariharan (Ather Energy). The panel explored emerging workforce strategies and recruitment trends in a rapidly evolving landscape.
On the second day, a panel titled “Insight to Impact” brought together thought leaders, including Mr Sudip Paul (MD, Accenture India), Mr Vineet Shukla (CTO, Mahindra Teqo), and Mr Ashutosh Itkelwar (Optym India MD). Panellists shared forward-looking strategies to shape the future of business and innovation.
Drishti 2024 offered students and professionals a valuable platform to bridge academic knowledge and industry practice with insights into future-ready strategies for a sustainable business world.
