IIIT- Delhi Holds 12th Convocation Ceremony

On October 27, the 12th convocation ceremony was held at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi). 715 graduates who finished their undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programmes received degrees. A press release from IIIT-Delhi stated that 26 PhD students, 237 MTech students, and 452 BTech students with a variety of specialisations were acknowledged for their exceptional academic accomplishments.

Graduates abandoned the standard colonial robe and headgear in favour of traditional kurtas and stoles. In his remarks to the students, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor and Chancellor Vinai Kumar Saxena expressed his sincere congratulations and praised the students as well as the teachers, parents, mentors, friends, and supporters who supported them along the way, according to the press release.

Students who excelled academically were given medals and other awards. Notable awards included the Gold Medal for Excellent Academic Performance in MTech, Institute Silver Medals, PhD Dissertation Awardees, Best BTP Awards, Gold Medal for Excellent Academic Performance in MTech, and Best MTech Thesis Award, according to IIIT-Delhi.
