Delhi University Publishes Anti-Ragging Policies
Campus News
The moral tutor should be a faculty member who freshmen may be linked to individually or in a group, according to the circular sent to all colleges. The instructor is expected to put in the time and effort necessary to support them in overcoming any emotional difficulties or problems they may experience as they become used to their new surroundings.
The authorities also believe that the bond this instructor has built with the students would be beneficial when a ragging victim wants to confide in someone or needs the courage to report a senior. Another recent action the university administration took is to ask the Delhi Police to randomly search all Metro trains that run to the Vishwavidyalaya station.
In addition to mobile patrols, there will be a police picket outside every college, and women's institutions will receive special assistance. Fuchchas may expect a record-breaking level of police presence on the North and South Campuses as well as in off-campus colleges.
The aforementioned requirements are in addition to the previous regulations, which prohibited visitors from staying in college dorms during the first few weeks of the new academic year. College campuses will display anti-ragging signs and banners and provide enough visibility for the contact information of the college principal and faculty members with whom ragging complaints can be filed. Students will not be permitted to enter institutions without their identity cards.
