Campus News
The Government College of Education in Chandigarh has achieved a significant milestone by securing an A+ grade in the Cycle 3 Accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This achievement, following the institution's A grade the institution received in its previous two accreditation cycles, is particularly noteworthy. Among the 96 Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) accredited across India in 2024, only five institutions have managed to elevate their status to an A+ grade, making our accomplishment even more exceptional.
The accreditation process is a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation that encompasses several criteria. These include teaching-learning processes, research and innovation, infrastructure, student support services, governance, and institutional values. Honourable Principal Mrs Sapna Nanda expressed her profound gratitude for the accolade, "Achieving an A+ grade in Cycle 3 of NAAC" accreditation is a significant honour for our college.
This accomplishment is a testament to the relentless dedication and hard work of our IQAC team, faculty, staff, students, and all stakeholders who have consistently pursued excellence in education. It also underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality teacher education, fostering innovative practices, and supporting the comprehensive development of our students."Dr. Anjali Puri, the IQAC Coordinator, also thanked the principal, faculty, staff, and students for their wholehearted support throughout the quality assurance process. The collective efforts of the entire college community have been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
