At IIT Delhi, Wipro Opens A Centre Of Excellence For Generative AI

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and Wipro, a provider of IT services, has announced the opening of a new Centre of Excellence on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

According to Wipro Limited's Chief Technology Officer Subha Tatavarti, "We are excited to partner with IIT Delhi to foster accelerated innovation in some of the most exciting emerging areas of technology." The Wipro CoE on Generative AI, which is housed within the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence (ScAI) at IIT Delhi, is noteworthy because it will encourage fundamental and practical research, foster talent, and advance the state of the art in this crucial area.

This announcement was made after Wipro's announcement to invest $1 billion in AI innovation. The business added that the Centre of Excellence (CoE) will act as an R&D hub, bringing together Wipro researchers with instructors from ScAI and graduate students to address at-scale real-world issues. Teams from Wipro CoE will collaborate to develop cutting-edge solutions utilising AI, ML (machine learning), and other technologies.
