Applications are being accepted for a Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Program in Society & Culture at IIT Gandhinagar

Applications are being accepted for admission to the postgraduate program in Society and Culture at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) for the July 2024 academic year. The specially created MA in Society and Culture curriculum is multidisciplinary in character and prepares students for a range of careers in many disciplines. The MA in Society and Culture application date is February 10, 2024. 

“The MA in Society and Culture program encourages students to develop varied perspectives on social and cultural issues, enabling a deeper understanding of different academic disciplines' interconnections,” said Prof Vikrant Jain, Head, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Gandhinagar.

The institution states that students enrolled in this degree will have access to a wide range of professional and research prospects, including working with non-governmental organisations, policy think tanks, teaching, international PhD opportunities, and much more.

At IIT Gandhinagar, there are "On-Campus Employment Opportunities" for students in need of financial assistance. According to the press announcement, the institute also encourages students to present their research at international conferences overseas and offers travel scholarships of up to INR 60,000.
