Sardar Vallbhbhai National Institute of Technology - SVNIT Surat is a part of the NIT Chain that was founded as Regional Engineering Colleges or RE during the second planning commission. The RECs were later transformed into NITs which were one of the most eminent technological and engineering institutes of India today.

The Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal (BPKM) is an education trust established in 1960 with the aim of imparting of higher education opportunities in and around the rural area. In 2005,A Vallabh Budhi Polytechnic has been started in the field of Engineering & Technology as per guidelines of (AICTE) All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Gujarat Technological University,Ahmedabad. The college VBP is located at Narayan P. Patel Education Campus (NPPEC), Bhanunagar, Tal. Jalalpore , Dist. Navsari ,South Gujarat in a peaceful & pollution free environment in richest agro industrial zones of the western region of the country. The college (VBP) is at a distance of about 35 Km. from Surat & 5 Km. from Navsari Railway station.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat is an Institute of National Importance established under the Act of Parliament 2017, by erstwhile Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, on not-for-profit and in Public-Private-Partnership basis. A memorandum of understanding was signed in 2016 between the President of India, the Governor of the State of Gujarat and Industry partners namely; Gujarat Narmada valley Fertilizer and Chemicals (GNFC), Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL) and Gujarat Gas Limited. The Institute started in 2017 with SVNIT as mentoring Institute. IIIT Surat is offering B. Tech. degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. Admission to the course is only for candidates qualified in JEE (Main). The PhD programme started in the year 2022-23. Admission to the Institute is managed by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), Govt. of India and Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
