Somaiya Vidyavihar University is one of India’s most popular group of colleges offering over 222 courses through its 34 institutes. Shri KJ Somaiya set up the Somaiya Trust in 1953 and Somaiya Vidyavihar Complex in 1959. The institute is a major institution on the Somaiya Vidyavihar campus, enjoys linguistic minority status, and is permanently affiliated with the University of Mumbai and recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC.
