NEET MDS Exam

Despite being scheduled for 18 March, the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination for Master in Dental Surgery, or NEET MDS, has likely been postponed. As stated in an RTI reply posted by the All India Student Union (AISU), the schedule for NEET MDS 2024 is 'under process'.

AISU has posted on X, "Today we've sent a representation to @NbeIndia , DCI, @MoHFW_INDIA & @PMOIndia on behalf of NEET MDS aspirants. Hoping our solicitation for #PostponeNEETMDS2024toJULY will be taken into consideration. It'll be a colossal relief for all NEET MDS aspirants. #POSTPONENEETMDS2024"

AISU formally requested the National Board of Examination (NBE) to postpone NEET MDS 2024 to July in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and the National Board of Examination (NBE). According to the letter, the NBE originally announced that the NEET MDS exam would take place on February 9 last year. However, the board informed the student body that the exam had been postponed to March 18 in a subsequent notification dated January 20. According to the student union, candidates who opted for the NEET PG exam were notified six months before the postponement. In comparison, candidates who opted for the NEET MDS exam were only notified two months before. As per a letter by AISU, the delay in informing NEET MDS dates has adversely affected aspirants' mental health and hampered their preparation.
