UPSC CSE Main Exam 2023: Check Details!

Candidates appearing in the UPSC CSE Main Exam 2023 shall download their UPSC Mains admit card by visiting the upsc.gov.in. and advised to follow the guidelines for the UPSC examination day.

CSE Mains exam will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) from September 15 through September 24, 2023. Two sessions will be held, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning session will begin at 9 a.m., and the afternoon will conclude at 5 p.m. Candidates can download the UPSC Mains admit card using their login credentials- application number and date of birth- at www.upsc.gov.in. Applicants are instructed to download and print the UPSC Mains hall ticket to carry to the examination centre.

Guidelines for the UPSC examination day:

  • In each session, UPSC Mains candidates are advised to arrive at the UPSC examination hall 30 minutes before it commences. Exam hall entry closes 10 minutes before each session's scheduled examination starts. Students shall adhere to the timing guidelines.
  • The E-Admit Card's physical copy, along with the original photo IDs, must be carried to the examination center.
  • If the candidate still needs to get a clear photograph on the e-admit card, they must bring one passport-sized photograph for each session when appearing in the examination.
  • During the examination, Mobile Phones and other Electronics / Communication devices are not allowed to be possessed (even in switched-off mode) / used. Under the examination rules, infringement of these instructions may result in disciplinary action, including a ban from future exams.
  • It is permissible to use scientific calculators (non-programmable) in this examination, if necessary. Programmable calculators, however, are not permitted.
