Education News
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked universities and colleges across the country to set up selfie stations on their campuses.
The campaign attempts to promote awareness among young people about India's achievements in numerous fields.
According to officials, institutions can put up these selfie sites based on approved designs provided by the Ministry of Education in 3D layouts. The Secretary of UGC, Manish Joshi, emphasised the dual use of these selfie points.
He went on to say, "These selfie points will not only serve as a source of pride but also enlighten every citizen about the transformative initiatives that have propelled India's growth on the global stage." The themes for the selfie points cover a broad spectrum, including the 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat' initiative and the key focus areas of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
He hoped that the selfie stations would become vibrant and engaging venues, instilling in kids a sense of national pride and knowledge. The purpose is to inspire future generations by highlighting India's achievements in various fields.
