The National Medical Commission (NMC) recently released a comprehensive list of medical colleges that plan to start new postgraduate medical courses or increase their intake of seats on PG medical courses beginning in the academic year 2024-2025.

This compilation includes roughly 172 colleges that will start postgraduate medical programmes in fields such as MD in Microbiology, MD/MS in Anatomy, MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MD in Pharmacology, and MD in Dermatology Venereology, among others. Furthermore, the roster includes 37 colleges that plan to increase their intake of postgraduate seats for the upcoming academic session.

According to the official notification, the NMC has sent out notices for 102 extra online applications for the start of new PG medical courses and the expansion of seats in current PG medical courses for the academic year 2024-25. These notices have been sent via email to the appropriate Medical Institutions/Colleges for acknowledgement and necessary action within the timeframe specified.

A complete list of the application numbers for each of the 102 online applications mentioned earlier has been attached to the Public Notice for greater distribution.
