LG India Launches Scholarship Program 2024

LG Electronics, one of the nation's most prominent consumer durable brands, has implemented its flagship Life's Good Scholarship Program to assist students throughout India in their academic pursuits.
The corporate social responsibility initiative is designed to offer financial support to students pursuing higher education, particularly encouraging female child education. The scholarship program was inaugurated on 28 August at LG's Corporate Office in Noida.
Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, MD of LG Electronics India, received academic awards from Galgotias University, Jaipuria Institute of Management, and Lloyd Law College.
Scholarship Details
- Life's Good Scholarship Program is available to students from any academic year of higher education who satisfy the eligibility requirements.
- A minimum percentage is necessary.
- Applicants must achieve a minimum of 60% in their most recent course.
There are two criteria for the Scholarship.
- The Life's Good Scholarship Program would be awarded based on two criteria: merit and need.
- According to a press release from LG, 25% of the scholarships will be allocated to pupils from low-income backgrounds, as determined by need-based selection criteria.
- Students who have achieved a minimum of 75 per cent marks in their 12th-grade exams or a 7 GPA in subsequent academic years will be eligible for the merit-based scholarship.
Scholarships that are exclusively available to female students
- To foster girls' education, twenty-five per cent of the scholarship will be allocated to exceptional female students.
Financial support
- The scholarships will cover tuition fees of 50% or a maximum of Rs 1.00 lakh for undergraduate students and Rs 2.00 lakh for postgraduate students, whichever is less.
The total number of academics
- The total number of scholars is approximately 5700.
The procedure of selection :
- Applicants must complete a multi-step online application form that includes personal information, academic information, and the necessary documents.
- Subsequently, the qualifications are continuously evaluated by the eligibility criteria encompassing academic performance and family income.
- Telephonic interviews will be conducted with the selected candidates to assess their scholarship eligibility further.
- Upon being selected, scholars must complete an onboarding procedure that includes document verification to verify their eligibility.
- Scholars selected are awarded funds to assist them in their academic endeavours.
