India Indo-Pacific Scholarship

India has recently announced a new initiative to provide fifty Quad scholarships, each valued at $500,000, to students from the Indo-Pacific region who wish to enrol in a four-year undergraduate engineering program at a technical institution financed by the Government of India.

"We applaud the expansion of the Quad Infrastructure Fellowships to more than 2,200 experts, and note that Quad partners have already provided well over 1,300 fellowships since the initiative was announced at last year's Summit. We also appreciate the workshop organised by the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure in India, working to empower partners across the Indo-Pacific to strengthen power sector resilience," the declaration read.

According to the declaration, the Quad is dedicated to "fortifying the profound and enduring connections between our people and our partners." We establish a network of future science, technology, and policy leaders through the Quad Fellowship.

In conjunction with the Institute of International Education, which oversees the implementation of the Quad Fellowship, the Quad administrations are pleased to announce the second cohort of Quad Fellows and the program's expansion to include students from ASEAN countries for the first time.

The program is receiving support from the Japanese government to facilitate the study of Quad Fellows in Japan. "The Quad is grateful for the generous support of private sector partners, such as the Pratt Foundation, Google, and Western Digital, for the upcoming cohort of fellows," the declaration read.
