IIT Kanpur, C3iHub Collaborates To Launch Cybersecurity Skilling Programme

Indian Institute of Technology of Kanpur is all set to introduce a cyber security skill-building programme.

Its launching date is fixed on 26th April 2023.This programme is being launched in collaboration with its cybersecurity Technology and Innovation Hub, C3iHub. Interested candidates can apply at the official C3iHub website - c3ihub.org/education/empowerment-program-cybersecurity.

The programme will be taught in Hindi and will be eight weeks (6 hours per week) long, including live sessions, online assignments, and hands-on exercises. The prerequisite of this programme is the basics of computer networks and operating systems (Linux / Windows). Bash script and Python are optional.

This programme aims to prepare students for the expanding field of cyberspace and security. It will provide a deeper understanding of the technical fundamentals of cyberspace and cyber issues, introducing real-time cybersecurity techniques and methods and concentrating on the models, tools, and techniques for enforcing security.

Students will receive a certificate from C3iHub, which will add value to their professional profile upon completion of the programme.

This new programme is supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under NM-ICPS Mission, along with C3iHub-incubated startups Threat Guardians Pvt Ltd. and Workers Union Support, as the implementing partners. Vijay Sampla, Chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, will be the Chief Guest of the programme launch.
