Dharmendra Pradhan Retains Education Ministry

Dharmendra Pradhan continues to head the Ministry of Education in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term of the NDA government. The Modi 3.0 government's Union Council of Ministers has 72 members, including 30 cabinet ministers and five ministers of state (independent charge). President Droupadi Murmu delivered the oath of office to the ministers on Sunday, June 9.
The Ministry of Education is hierarchically divided into the Department of School Education and Literacy, which focuses on primary and secondary education, and the Department of Higher Education, which is dedicated to tertiary education.
The Department of School Education and Literacy, a cornerstone of the Ministry, is responsible for a broad spectrum of education, from primary and secondary to higher secondary, adult education, and literacy.
