Smart Classrooms and ICT Labs Coming to 79 Dhanbad Schools

BCCL (Bharat Coking Coal Limited) has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EdCIL (India) Limited to advance digital education. According to this agreement, 79 government schools in the Dhanbad district will be equipped with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratories and digital classrooms. The agreement was executed on Thursday at Coal Bhawan in the presence of BCCL CMD Samiran Dutta and Director (Personnel) Murali Krishna Ramaiya.

Under this initiative, Rs 13.54 lakhs will be allocated to each school to establish smart classrooms, ICT laboratories, and technical equipment necessary for digital education. This initiative is a component of Coal India's Digital Vidya initiative. Its goal is to enhance students' educational experience by providing them with contemporary resources and devices.

When he signed the agreement, BCCL CMD Samiran Dutta reaffirmed the company's unwavering commitment to offering students a high-quality education and modernising their learning experience. This partnership is not solely focused on installing technology; it is a unique endeavour to empower the younger generation in the digital era, a testament to BCCL's dedication to education.

The schools in Dhanbad, which had hitherto relied primarily on conventional methods of instruction, are undergoing a radical transformation, of which this programme is a component. As a result of the implementation of intelligent classrooms and ICT labs in these institutions, the students will now receive technical knowledge and digital education, enhancing their education calibre.

Upon its successful completion, this initiative will serve as a significant milestone in advancing digital education for students in government schools in Dhanbad. This collaboration between BCCL and EdCIL will improve students' educational experience and equip them with the necessary skills to confront future obstacles. Comparable measures are anticipated to be implemented in other regions to guarantee quality and equality in education.
