BITS Pilani WILP launches PG Diploma programme in Smart Manufacturing

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS Pilani) has launched a new PG Diploma programme in Smart Manufacturing through its Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) division. Interested individuals can apply for admission to the new programme by March 18. Candidates can learn more about this programme by visiting the website bits-pilani-wilp.ac.in.

The new program is intended to assist engineers working in various industries in designing, implementing, and managing manufacturing operations using digital technologies. According to a BITS Pilani statement, the degree can be pursued without taking a career break and was designed in partnership with manufacturing organisations.

PG Diploma in Smart Manufacturing: Themes and Course Curriculum
The PG Diploma degree is divided into three primary themes: additive manufacturing, industrial IoT, and operations management, which enable a wide range of processes from data collecting to the reality of digital factories. 

It discusses the technological enablers of digital factories, including mechatronics, industrial IoT, big data analytics, machine learning, blockchains, cloud computing, connected manufacturing, microfabrication, and cybersecurity.
