After Madhya Pradesh Bihar Becomes 2nd State to Offer MBBS in Hindi

MBBS

The Bihar government has declared that it will provide Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programs in Hindi. With this move, Bihar becomes the second state after Madhya Pradesh to offer this access to pupils. State Health Minister Mangal Pandey stated on Tuesday, July 2, that students would be allowed to study MBBS in Hindi beginning with the forthcoming session.

"Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Health Department of Bihar has taken a historic step. This decision, made after thorough discussions on various aspects, including the availability of Hindi textbooks for the MBBS course, underscores the government's unwavering commitment to promoting Hindi and elevating it to a global language", State Health Minister Pandey emphasised.

The new Hindi course will be introduced in line with the AIIMS Delhi syllabus for students who complete the NEET UG 2024 test. The state contains around 85,000 government schools, with Hindi as the predominant medium of instruction.
