IGNOU Extends Admission Registration Deadline

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the application deadline (excluding certificate and semester-based programs) to September 10, 2024. Prospective students can submit their applications through the official IGNOU website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in For online courses, applications should be made on the separate website ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

The July 2024 Fresh Admissions deadline has been extended to September 10, 2024, for all ODL/Online programs for the July 2024 session, except for Semester-based and Certificate programs. Prospective students looking to enrol in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, or certificate programs can apply through the designated ODL and online portals. Existing students needing to re-register for the next semester or academic year can do so via the re-registration portal.

Candidates must have the following documents:

1. Scanned passport-size photograph

2. Scanned signature (less than 100 KB)

3. Scanned documents of required educational qualification

4. A scanned copy of the experience certificate, not mandatory

5. Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if applicable, such as SC, ST, OBC

Candidates must note that the size of their photograph and signature documents must be less than 100 KB, while the other mentioned documents must not exceed 200 KB. The IGNOU official website also states that the scanned file must be from the original documents.

Additionally, after confirmation of admission, eligible students can apply for Government of India scholarships on the national scholarship portal at  scholarships.gov.in.
