Competitive exams post 12th for Engineering

JEE Mains
Joint Entrance Examination, also known as JEE Main, is one of the most coveted entrance exams for students intending to major in engineering after completing 12th. The National Testing Agency administers the test across the nation (NTA). There are two papers in the test. The first exam is for undergraduate admission to B.E./B.tech programs at various NITs and IIITs, and the second exam is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning programs. This exam is a prerequisite for JEE (ADVANCED) and an eligibility test for IIT admissions. The exam is open twice a year, and candidates can take it both times or only once.

JEE Advanced
After the JEE, the JEE (Advanced) is held (MAIN). The candidate must pass the JEE (MAIN) exam within the designated cut-off range to qualify for the JEE (Advanced) exam. The 16 IITs and ISM Dhanbad provide admission to various undergraduate engineering programs to students who pass this exam. The test comprises two papers that last three hours each and are available in Hindi and English.

BITSAT
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test is a computer-based, online competitive entrance exam for various engineering programs at the three BITS campuses in Hyderabad, Goa, and Pilani. Students' knowledge of math, physics, chemistry, logical reasoning, and English are all tested on the exam.

VITEEE
The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam once a year for university admissions into undergraduate engineering programs. The exam lasts for two hours and thirty minutes and is computer-based. A student gets MCQs (Multiple choice-based questions) in this exam. Each test contains five different components for the candidate to attempt: aptitude, physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, and English.

MET
Manipal University administers the Manipal Entrance Test, formerly the MU OET, as a requirement for enrollment in the university's several undergraduate engineering programs. Every year, the exam is given in two phases in 80 different Indian cities and Dubai in an online or computer-based format.

COMED-K UGET
The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test is a state-based test that the COMED-K administers to admit students to engineering programs. This entrance exam is the admissions requirement for roughly 190 engineering universities. The exam is computer-based, has three sections—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—with a combined 180 questions, and has a three-hour time limit.

Competitive Exams Post 12th for Medical

NEET-UG
The National Testing Agency administers the NEET-UG, also known as the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, as a pre-medical entrance examination for admission to undergraduate programs in medicine (MBBS), dentistry (BDS), and AYUSH medicine (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.). Candidates for this test must have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their senior year of high school. The exam has three divisions, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Zoology and Botany), lasts three hours, and has 180 questions.

AIIMS MBBS
AIIMS will only accept applications based on the results of the NEET-UG exams. Nine AIIMS colleges accept applications through this national entrance exam: New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar. It is a computer-based test with 200 questions—of which 20 are optional—and a three-hour time limit. The scoring is +4 for correct answers and -1 for bad answers.

JIPMER MBBS Entrance Test
The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conducts an entrance test for its undergraduate medical program, or MBBS, which has 200 seats across its two campuses. Two hundred multiple-choice questions (MCQ) from the physics, chemistry, biology, logic and quantitative reasoning, and English comprehension areas make up the test.

AIPVT
The Veterinary Council of India will administer the All India Pre-Veterinary Test. Under the 15% All India Quota, this test is applicable for admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H. programs. Since the NEET test took the place of the AIPVT exam in 2017, NEET-UG scores will now be beneficial to pick admissions to the program.

INDIAN ARMY BSc. Nursing
The Director General of Medical Services administers this national-level exam to candidates seeking admission to a 4-year BSc. Undergraduate nursing programs (DGMS). Only female candidates may take the exam; there are 220 available seats. The NEET-UG scores help determine the admission possibilities following an in-person interview for the final decision. The exam takes place in an online written form once a year.

Competitive Exams Post 12th for Law

Common Law Admission Test
CLAT is a five-year integrated LLB (U.G.) program admissions test administered nationally for 22 National Law Universities. The test has five sections: current affairs (including general knowledge), English language, logical thinking, quantitative techniques (math), and legal reasoning. It lasts two hours and is pen-and-paper only. The test consists of 150 questions, with a marking scheme of +1 for the correct response and -0.25 for the incorrect response.

AILET
The All India Law Entrance Test, also known as the AILET, is a different entrance exam for admission to the National Law University in Delhi. The test has three sections - logical reasoning, English language, and current affairs, including general knowledge—and is 90 minutes long. It has 150 questions in total. The National Law University, Delhi, offers 110 seats, and candidates compete for those seats in this exam.

LSAT
For admission to other law schools, including the Amity Law School, UPES Dehradun, ITM Gurgaon, Faculty of Law, Dehradun, and a three-year LLB program at IIT Kharagpur, among others, the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is a must.
