The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) registration deadline at the National Testing Agency is 10 December 2024. • Examination Window: 1st - 19th January, 2025

• Application Correction Window: 12th -13th December, 2024

Candidates must submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues. After the correction window, the admit cards and exam city details will be released for the eligible candidates.

This three-hour examination is the qualifying test for those aspiring to become Junior Research Fellows or Assistant Professors across Indian universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age: Candidates applying for JRF should be under 30 as of 1 January 2025. No upper age limit exists for those applying for Assistant Professor positions or admission to PhD programs.

• Educational Qualification: General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates must have at least 55% marks in their Master's degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognised institution.

• Candidates from OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, or Third Gender categories are eligible with a minimum of 50% marks (without rounding off) in their Master's degree or equivalent.

Application Fee Structure:

• General (Unreserved): Rs 1150

• Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs 600

• SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: Rs 325
