Education News
The Madhya Pradesh government will provide textbooks in the same language for second, third, and fourth-year students, according to state education minister Vishwas Sarang on Thursday, nine months after the first year of the MBBS programme was introduced in Hindi. According to the ministry, the textbooks would be released by September. By year's end, the BJP-run MP is scheduled to hold its legislative elections. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, introduced textbooks in Hindi for MBBS students on October 16, 2022, as a part of the MP government's ambitious plan to teach medicine in the language.
On that day, Shah unveiled the anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry textbooks. He claimed that MP had started the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) programme in Hindi first in the nation. At an event organised at the Hamidia Hospital Auditorium in this city on Thursday, Minister Sarang gave away free copies of Hindi textbooks to first-year MBBS students. "MBBS 2.0 in Hindi has begun," he declared. The translation of the second, third, and fourth-year books has started under this. The minister claimed that on December 14, 2021, the BJP-led government in MP decided to offer medical instruction in Hindi. The endeavour was then deemed unachievable by some. However, we saw it as a challenge and began working on it during the war footing,” he added.
