Rajasthan Passes Bill To Regularise Temporary University Teachers

The Rajasthan Universities' Teachers (Absorption of Temporary Teachers) (Amendment) Bill, 2023, was passed by the state assembly on Monday, allowing the regularisation of temporary teachers following a screening process. In response to Bill's discussion, Minister of State for Higher Education Rajendra Singh Yadav stated that suitable temporary teachers would be regularised through screening under the bill's provisions. The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Governance and Social Sciences Bill - 2023 was also approved by voice vote in the House.
In response to the bill's discussion, Yadav stated that the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Governance and Social Sciences will improve learning environments through high-quality education, research, training, capacity building, and innovation. According to the minister, this institute, which will be modelled after the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, will provide education and training in governance and social sciences. The Rajiv Gandhi Fintech Digital Institute Bill-2023 was also approved by voice vote in the House. In response to Bill's debate, Education Minister B D Kalla stated that the Rajiv Gandhi Fintech Digital Institute, which would be established in Jodhpur, will create world-class standards in the field of financial technology.
