Berhampur University Signs A Contract For A Marine Science Scholarship Supported By The UK

An agreement for the execution of the Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP) was signed on Wednesday by the Berhampur University and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) in the Ganjam region of Odisha. UK government agency will provide scholarships for at least five students of the Marine Science Department of the varsity under this agreement, the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS)
The ACU will oversee the programme on behalf of the CEFAS. Vice-Chancellor Geetanjali Dash stated, "We have inked an agreement with the ACU for the implantation of the OCPP. Ikita Pokharna, the coordinator of membership engagement for ACU, and registrar Sachidanand Nayak signed the agreement on behalf of the institution. The scholarship will fund studies on marine biodiversity, sustainable seafood, and marine pollution.
