84 Undergraduate And 78 Graduate Students Received Degrees During The NLU Delhi 10th Convocation

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, the 10th convocation of the National Law University (NLU) of Delhi was held, at which 84 undergraduate and 78 postgraduate students received degrees in law. At the convocation, five PhD degrees were also given out. 167 students in total received degrees from these academic programmes.

The Vice Chancellor of the National Law University of Delhi, Professor (Dr) GS Bajpai, spoke on the importance of the legal profession: "The legal profession is not merely a career. Serving others and significantly impacting both the lives of people and the community at large is a calling.

Professor Bajpai also highlighted the university's dedication to social advancement, highlighting its active participation in formulating legislation, laws, and rules that influence the legal system.

It was emphasised that the institution was involved in criminal law reforms and progressive clauses in parliamentary measures. The Chief Minister's Fellowship was one of NLU Delhi's initiatives that sought to close educational disparities and give students more agency by including them in the creation of public policy.

The chief guest, Hon. Justice S. Ravindra Bhat, a judge of the Supreme Court of India gave the address at the convocation. He emphasised that studying law is a commitment to pursuing justice and preserving constitutional ideals.
