On Friday, August 25, the Delhi University Executive Council (EC) had its 1267th meeting, which was presided over by vice-chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh. Two significant choices during the meeting were new courses and age relaxation for students running in the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections.

Guidelines for DUSU Elections
The extension of undergraduate and graduate student's ability to run in the Delhi University Students' Union elections was a significant decision made during the conference.

Undergraduates can now vote till they are 25 years old while still being granted a 3-year age relaxation. On the other hand, postgraduate students are permitted to compete until they are 28.
However, the university made it plain that this exception would only remain in place for the current academic year.
