Top B.Tech Colleges in Delhi: Entrance Exam
Listed below are the entrance exams, which are used to determine eligibility for admission into Delhi engineering colleges.
GATE:
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is among India's most prestigious engineering entrance exams. On behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, the Ministry of Education, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) conduct it.
- Bachelor's degree holders from a recognised university or institution in any branch of engineering or science.
- Applicants with bachelor's degrees in Arts, Commerce, or Humanities with mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level are also eligible.
- No Age limit is applicable.
JEE Advanced:
An Indian national-level examination, JEE Advanced, is highly reputed. The Joint Entrance Examination Board (JEE) conducts the exam to offer admission to engineering programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other prestigious engineering colleges.
- As of the 31st December of the year of admission, candidates should be between 17 and 25.
- Candidates must have passed the JEE Main examination with a valid rank.
- The candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with compulsory subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
JEE Main:
JEE Main is a prestigious national-level exam for undergraduate engineering courses in India. A JEE Main test is conducted twice annually, in January and April, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Ministry of Education works on behalf of various engineering colleges.
- As of 31st December of the year of admission, candidates must be between 17 and 24.
- Participants in JEE Main may be either Indian nationals or Indians of Indian origin who have settled outside of India.
- A candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with compulsory subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
