IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Launches Cricket Analytics Course

Cricstats, a cricket analytics programme offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation in collaboration with GITAA, will be available in the field of cricket analytics is being explored. The GITAA, a business founded by IIT Madras, offers training in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

The course seeks to introduce learners to data analytics in sports through real-world case studies, industry experts, and data science foundations. The eight-week course will be delivered online. On the course's official website, digitalskills.pravartak.org.in, candidates can register.

According to the IIT, the course aims to give students a basic understanding of data science concepts as well as real-world cricket cases. It was said that IITM Pravartak Technologies will lead the course, while GITAA will serve as the knowledge partner. It is put together by academics in the data science field from IIT Madras to give students the knowledge and abilities to analyse huge amounts of data pertaining to many facets of sport to obtain insights, make wise decisions, and enhance team and player performance. Under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, the Department of Science and Technology of the Union Government funds IITM Pravartak Technologies.
