Enrollment for over 720 online certification courses offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras under the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) has started. Applications are being accepted for the January–April 2024 semester of courses.

The courses will close for enrollment on February 1, 2024. Through the NPTEL and SWAYAM portals, candidates can sign up for these courses at no cost. Numerous streams and disciplines, including engineering, science, humanities, social science, law, and many more, are covered in the courses.

The NPTEL has launched new courses this year for the January–April 2024 semester. These new courses include Computational Genomics, Structural Vibration, Applied Statistical Thermodynamics, Games and Information, and experimental Robotics.

NPTEL is a cooperative project that was started in 2003 by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). NPTEL began as a mission to provide high-quality education throughout the country, but it has since grown into a comprehensive platform that offers about 600 courses for certification each semester in 22 different areas.
