IIT Madras And BHU Agree To Share Research Infrastructure And Exchange Students

A contract for student exchange courses and the use of research facilities has been signed by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. The partnership, which has been in place for five years, aims to look into more engagement options to support academics, students, and research.

According to an official release, the agreement allows PhD students from one institute to work on research projects at the other institute for up to one semester at a time. The agreement, it continues, will open the door for faculty member exchange by allowing them to do research for up to six months at the other institute.

Additionally, researchers and teachers from IIT Madras and BHU have agreed to share the use of the research facility. A wide range of fields of study and research, including those in the humanities, science, engineering, arts, medicine, and agriculture, will be covered by the collaboration.
