BTech Placements At IIT Tirupati: Most Salary Drops, But More Candidates Are Placed

Located in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, India, the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati) is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) founded in 2015. According to NIRF Ranking 2023, IIT Tirupati ranked 59th in the engineering category. AICTE has approved IIT Tirupati's courses, and UGC has acknowledged the institution.

A vast array of undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate courses in engineering, science, public policy, humanities, and social sciences are available at IIT Tirupati. B.Tech is the main course that IIT Tirupati offers. Admission to the B.Tech programme at IIT Tirupati requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) with a minimum of 75% marks. Candidates must possess a JEE Advanced national scorecard; seats will thereafter be distributed in accordance with JoSSA counselling.

In 2023, there were 844 genuine students enrolled in the UG programme at IIT Tirupati. For those whose household income exceeds INR 5 lakhs, the B.Tech. programme tuition for the academic year 2024 is INR 1,00,000 every semester.

IIT Tirupati has a great history of placement experiences. For the 2019–20 academic year, the highest and average income package was INR 46 LPA for those in the B.Tech programme and INR 25 LPA overall. In all, forty-three pupils were assigned to this session. In contrast, the highest and average wage package for M.Tech students for the academic year 2021–2023 was INR 28 lakh and INR 15.4 LPA, respectively. Top employers that came to visit the campus included UBS, Mentor, Commvalt, Oyo, LTI, Samsung, Cognizant, Toshiba, Amazon, Tesco, and others.
