Abhay Karandikar, The Director Of IIT-Kanpur, Has Been Named The Department Of Science And Technology's Secretary

The Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, Professor Abhay Karandikar, was appointed as the secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) on Saturday.

A personnel Ministry order which was issued late Saturday night said that he had been appointed to the post till the date of his attaining the age of 60 years.

According to the statement, the appointment of Professor Karandikar to the position of DST secretary has received approval from the Cabinet's Appointments Committee.
