SIT, Pune Signs MOU With Bajaj Auto Limited Around The Company’s CSR Initiative, Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST)

Reputable automaker Bajaj Auto Limited and Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) at Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune. In this regard, to spread awareness about the BEST programme, a grand event- Leadership Summit of Principals of leading diploma and engineering institutions across Maharashtra and neighbouring cities, held on the 11th of September 2023 at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune.

The Leadership Summit turned out to be a fruitful gathering place for leaders from various educational institutions to talk about and investigate cutting-edge ideas that could influence the future of engineering education. As the summit’s chief guests,  Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, and Mr. Sudhakar Gudapati, the CSR Head of Bajaj Auto Limited, Ramesh Head Skilling, CSR Bajaj Auto LTD.  graced the event. About 30 institution officials and principals attended the event, and more than 60 diploma-granting institutions are eager to work with the SIT for BEST project.

The head of the robotics and automation department, Dr. Arunkumar Bongale, gave details about the courses. Under the BEST initiative, Bajaj Auto Limited’s goal is to build state-of-the-art laboratories with world-class equipment, thus ensuring that the future crop of engineering will possess the enhanced hands-on skills necessary to make them competent and employable in the ever-changing market. In order to fill the talent deficit in the manufacturing sector, the BEST facility will offer advanced skill training to engineering graduates, potential Diploma Trainee Engineers (DTE), and Graduate Trainee Engineers (GTE).
