Launch Of A New Innovation Centre By BITS Pilani

A specialist Rakesh Kapoor Innovation Centre with an emphasis on entrepreneurship has been launched by BITS Pilani. On October 8 the new centre was officially opened at the main BITS Pilani campus.

According to an official statement from the institute, this new Centre will house the business incubator Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), which was founded with funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

The centre will also have a number of speciality labs in the region, including labs for fintech, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of things. Additionally, it will include room for professional and academic staff members engaged in incubation activities to have their administrative offices.

Several benefactors received recognition for their support of the institute during the event. Anuradha & Prashanth Palakurthi, Anurag Jain & Ross Perot Jr., Abhinav Asthana & Abhijit Kane, Chaitanya Kalipatnapu, Mukesh Sharma, Kiran Bhat, Aparna & Raghu Sethuraman, Rakesh Verma, and the classes of 1989, 1993, and 1994 are just a few of the businesspeople on this list.
