IIT Bombay Placement 2023: 1,516 Students Receive Job Offers; Highest Worldwide Salary Of Rs 3.7 Crore

According to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, 1,516 students found employment during the campus placement drive during the placement season 2022–23, which is the greatest number to date. The highest domestic wage offered was Rs.1.68 crore per year, whereas an IIT Bombay student's highest overseas salary package was Rs.3.67 crore per year.

16 students received offers above Rs 1 crore annually. As many as 65 pupils received job offers from abroad. Students accepted 194 of the 300 pre-placement offers. This season, the average compensation package was Rs 21.82 lakhs (CTC) annually. According to the IIT Bombay, 384 organisations participated in the placement drive, and 324 offered employment offers.

According to the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, 1,845 of the 2,174 students who enrolled for the campus placement season, which ran from July 2022 to June 2023, actually participated in it. Interviews were conducted online and offline as part of the hybrid placement process. This year, 531 employers filled out 1,316 job announcement forms—excluding pre-placement offers.
