IIM Ahmedabad 2024: 35% of 121 Hired by Consulting Firms

The placement process for the One-Year Post-Graduate Program in Management for Executives (PGPX) at IIM Ahmedabad concluded successfully in June 2024. This year, 121 students received offers from a variety of sectors and regions, with consulting firms, particularly those specialising in management and technology, emerging as the predominant recruiters. This success underscores the effectiveness of the PGPX program.

 

According to the placement report, the process commenced in late November 2023. Most hiring occurred during an intensive four-day placement event, followed by additional rolling placements extending until the end of June. The eighteenth PGPX cohort comprised individuals with extensive experience, ranging from 4 to 15 years, across diverse industries and functional areas.

During the placement period, 105 companies visited the campus, of which 67 visited the program for the first time, resulting in over 150 offers being made to students. The roles were predominantly in leadership, middle, and senior management levels. Positions included Chief Product Officer, Vice President, Associate Director, Associate Vice President, roles in Leadership Programs, Program Head, Product Head, and Consultant. Notably, these opportunities were also accessible to female students.
