Guru Nanak College Career Workshop

The Training and Employment Cell at Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, recently organised a placement orientation workshop aimed at equipping final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students with essential skills for upcoming placement activities. The event was attended by Mr Harinder Singh Kang, Principal, IQAC Coordinator Catherine Masih, Training and Placement Officer Jitender Prashar, and guest speakers Sanjay Arora, Kiranpal Singh Virk, and Gian Bhushan.

During the workshop, Mr Sanjay Arora emphasised the crucial role of preparation and adaptability in navigating the ever-evolving job market. Mr.Kiranpal Singh Virk advised students to seek opportunities proactively and guided professional dress and practical communication skills. Mr Gian Bhushan encouraged students to leverage their strengths and build robust networks. 

In a related development, the Training Cell of the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, conducted a one-week training program in collaboration with the Mahindra & Mahindra Group. This program, tailored specifically for female students under the university's Women Empowerment Cell, aimed to bridge the gap between academic education and industry demands. 

Vice-Chancellor Mr Tankeshwar Kumar noted that the initiative was designed to facilitate a smooth transition from academic learning to the professional realm. Mr.Vikas Garg, Director of the Training Cell, reported that female students from ten different departments participated in the program, which focused on preparing them for the challenges of the professional world.

Both the Guru Nanak Khalsa College workshop and the CUH training program reflect a solid commitment to enhancing student preparedness for their future careers. By addressing critical aspects such as job market adaptability, professional skills, and industry readiness, these initiatives provide valuable support to students as they transition from academic environments to professional settings. Such proactive measures bolster students' confidence and significantly improve their prospects in a competitive job market.
