A student, juggling lectures and exams, manages to produce 77 patents. That sounds like a plot twist from a tech thriller, but that's precisely what Navjot Singh, a computer science engineering student at Chandigarh University, has accomplished.

 

His incredible feat has not only caught the eye of the tech world but also set a new benchmark for student innovation. Notable patents are innovations such as 'Revolutionising Network Security with Sustainability,' 'Smart Baby Toy Revolutionizes Parenting,' and 'Intelligent IoT-Enabled Library Bookshelves.'

 

Singh's work also includes a 'Portable Device Integrating Nano-Sensors and IoT for Early Detection of Plant Pathogens' and a 'Real-Time AI-Powered System for Network Anomaly Detection.' These inventions highlight his focus on applying advanced technology to address practical challenges. These patents showcase Singh's ability to combine advanced technology with practical applications.

Singh attributes his success to the robust support and resources Chandigarh University provides. The institution has positioned itself as a hub for research and innovation, offering students access to state-of-the-art facilities and funding opportunities.Navjot Singh, son of an Indian Army officer from Ludhiana, Punjab, has expressed gratitude to Chandigarh University for its role in shaping his research career.

 

Chandigarh University’s Chancellor, Honourable Mr. Satnam Singh Sandhu, commented on Singh’s accomplishments, stating that his success is a testament to his hard work and the university’s commitment to fostering innovation. The university has allocated a research budget of Rs.15 crore this year to further enhance its research capabilities.Singh has also expressed his gratitude towards Chandigarh University, noting the institution’s role in providing guidance and support throughout his research endeavours. Singh said, "Currently," Italy and India rank 40th in the Global Innovation Index, and I dream of contributing through my research and seeing my nation rank among the top innovators worldwide."
