IIM Calcutta hosts 59th Convocation as More than 468 Students Get Degree

Today, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) celebrated its 59th annual convocation 2024. The 59th batch of the 2-year flagship MBA curriculum graduated 468 students, while 76 students graduated from the one-year MBAEx programme. All 60 students from the seventh batch were accepted into the two-year PGDBA degree.
A total of 40 students in the postgraduate programme for executives for visionary leadership in manufacturing (PGPEX VLM) received diplomas. Four students from PGPEX VLM have also made the director's merit list. In addition, the institute awarded PhD degrees to fifteen students.
Uday Kotak, Founder, Kotak Mahindra Bank was the Chief Guest. The board of governors Chairperson, Shrikrishna Kulkarni, and the Director-in-charge of IIM Calcutta, Professor Saibal Chattopadhyay were also present.
The Director-in-charge, Professor Saibal Chattopadhyay said, “Students and Alumni are our true brand ambassadors. We have been continuously augmenting our teaching, learning and research environment, work and academic infrastructure considering the institute’s vision and mission. I congratulate our bright graduating students on their success and wish them good life and career ahead as these brand ambassadors of IIM Calcutta shine and strive to make the world a better place to live in.”
