Student’s help guide- For Hyderabad students

Hyderabad is an excellent place with cheap internet, delicious cuisine, a remarkable history, and loving people.  However, just like any other city, it has pros and cons for students living there.  If you are moving to Hyderabad soon, here are some things you should know.

  • Hyderabad is one of the safest cities in India for tourists and students.  However, you should be aware of things like not carrying huge cash, roaming in isolated streets, or indulging in any crime or illegal activity.  Make sure you are in a safe place and space at all times.
  • Avoid trying unfamiliar food items.  We all know that the food in Hyderabad is unbelievably tasty.  Sometimes, trying unknown food items can cause allergies, eating disorders, or sickness.
  • Learn the local language.  People in Hyderabad are pretty cool about not knowing their mother tongue.  But sometimes, it can cause you trouble as many natives are not familiar with other languages.
  • It is best to stay away from political debates going around the city unless you are well acquainted with the situation surrounding any larger or smaller political reform.
  • Get the number of local authorities like the nearest police stations, fire brigades, health care, or any other contacts that can help you in the event of an emergency.
  • If you have some kind of chronic illness or allergies, give a basic idea about the disease and medicines to your roommates, wardens, or landlord.

There's a chill vibe to the city, so you can be one too!  Just be slightly cautious, and you are good to go.
